My friend and I love good curry and have tried many different places in CT to find a place that offers something we actually enjoy rather than leave us running for the milk or the tissues for our runny noses.
We werent in search of a wonderful culinary experience just an enjoyable curry and we discovered that Food Inn boasts the best lamb curry in Cape Town by far. Situated on the corner of Long Street and Leeuwen Street, it is hard to miss and open till late. They offer original eastern cuisine as well as asian, greek and the usual junk foods. I recommend sticking to the curries as the taste has lingers quite a while long after you have paid minus the hot spicy flavour, at a really good price.
The atmosphere reminds me of a place in Malaysia that I visited almost 6 years ago, relaxed, traditional,chilled and so efficient. They have plenty of seating inside and if it is a really hot day you are welcome to enjoy your meals outside on the seats provided. And if the food is too hot to handle they offer jugs of water for customers to enjoy during their meals for free. The food is served in a tray with different compartments to hold the various selections of traditional treats served with the curry.

| It is recommended to eat with your hands however my friend was worried about the curry stain, so he opted to eat the western way. |
It is our regular curry hang out spot lately and we can never seem to get enough of it. Our total meal including soft drinks was R150 for 2 people for 2 full meals which is an absolute bargain.
They should definately start a loyalty programme because they are certainly gaining points with us!!!
