2013 a good start

"The year to realise more dreams, to make less noise and to have more action."

I am not big on New Year Resolutions for a number of reasons, mainly because they become more of a trend, something to dream about and because we never stick to them!! The one thing I always promise myself going into a new year is - make it better than last year and never do the same thing and expect the same results. So with this said, what have I actually been up to since it is the second month of the new year already!! I love Summer in Cape Town and therefore spent most of the Dec 2012- Jan 2013 days and nights with family and friends. My nephew started creche this year and what an experience it has been for our family to witness how our precious little one embarks on a new world. Work has been quite busy and I cannot complain one bit about it. I am exactly where I would like to be in my career doing what makes me happy.

I have also taken a more positive approach to getting healthy and fit. It has been a fight and challenge at times, but I eventually signed up at gym, started running races again and generally trying to eat alot more healthier. But it takes alot to resist mum delicious meals. And finally i have decided to grow up spiritually. Nothing soothes the soul and enhances your being more like the sounds of the recitation of the Quraan, attending Hajj class and embracing your culture by attending a few Islamic events to enrich your values.

Hope your year started off on a good note! Enjoy the pics.

I love my job mainly because it takes me all over the country.

I love Cape Town

I have travelled to a few places in the world but always get a lump in my throat when I return back to this gorgeous place I call home. I absolutely love being in Cape Town because despite what people may say, it is by far the best place to be anywhere in the world.  Summer days and nights are spent mainly outdoors soaking up the sunshine, sipping mocktails and sharing stories around the braai with friends and family. I especially enjoy spending time acting like a tourist in my own city just to appreciate it a little more.  Here are some highlights of our beautiful city and the surrounds.
